Decorative large twisted colorful driftwood vase / sculpture.  This wooden floor or tabletop sculpture is 28" tall and 17.5" wide.  This one-of-a-kind decorative yet also functional rustic / contemporary art piece is definitely unique.  If you want to display wet flowers, a glass or plastic container up to 3.5" in diameter could easily be placed inside.  And dried flowers or fall leaves would make a beautiful display. 
… From the first moment I discovered this driftwood lying alone on the ocean beach I knew it was destined to become a beautiful sculpture.  Nature was good to me, and the wood-gods helped me give this sculpture a form and beauty that will never be duplicated.

… The primary wood for this sculpture is “probably” maple, but since it was driftwood, I will never know the species for sure. The wood came from a dead tree at least 75 years old that had been tossed around in the surf for years.  
… I have arbitrarily called one side the “front,” but it is fascinating from all sides.  The beautiful grain and color mosaic of this salvaged wood came from a tree branch that was over 12 inches diameter and 15 feet long.  
… This awe-inspiring twisting and flared sculpture is so unique it is almost impossible to describe.  I wish you could hold it and feel it up close so you could really absorb its wonder.

… A smooth and glossy shellac like finish protects this sculpture, so it can hold and display anything but liquids or moist items.       
Care of your Valuable Art piece:  
1.  The beauty of your art piece will best be maintained by periodically gently removing dust with a soft-brush vacuum cleaner, and occasionally buffing it with a very light furniture polish, such as Howard’s Feed-N-Wax (a blend of beeswax, Brazilian carnauba wax, mineral oil, and orange oil).  
2. As for all wood art, it should NOT be displayed in direct sunlight (no wood likes direct sun) because strong light will fade its rich colors, of course some wood colors inevitably change a little over time. 
3. Display this treasure where it will be protected from chemicals and moisture.
