Unique colorful live edge freeform burl wood sculpture, 20" tall, golden brown with maroon tinges, beautiful rich grain, and comes from reclaimed wood collected from a storm damaged tree.  It is about 20" wide x 5" deep x 24.5'' tall, and weighs 19 lbs.  
… The beautiful salvaged Siberian black elm wood for this sculpture came from a tree 30” diameter and 60’ tall, approximately 80 years old.  It fell in a severe winter ice storm in Oregon City, Oregon, and I was lucky to salvage several amazing pieces for carving.  
… Some of the rustic exterior has been preserved to add character to the art and burls are strategically sculpted to take full advantage of their fascinating grain patterns and colors.

1.  The beauty of your art piece will best be maintained by periodically gently removing dust with a soft brush on a vacuum cleaner, and occasionally buffing it with a light polish such as Howard’s Feed-N-Wax (beeswax & Carnauba wax).  
2.  Display this treasure where it will be protected from sun, chemicals, moisture, and damaging heat. No wood likes direct sun, because strong light fades rich colors (of course, some color inevitably changes over time).
