A gorgeous irregular, smooth, elongated, food safe, functional yet decorative natural wood bowl with intricate brown, gold, hint of maroon color patterns, swirly wood grain, live-edge outside with some bark, inside smooth and refined (holes and openings filled with epoxy) and some outer area natural burls slightly rough.  Some burls have been reduced to show their inner beauty. This is an amazing one-of-a-kind art piece with a truly unique look (and feel) that came from a from a dead black elm tree 30 inches in diameter x 60 ft. tall tree that regrettably fell in a winter ice storm.

Care of your Valuable Art piece:    
1.  The beauty of your art piece will best be maintained by periodically gently removing dust with a very soft brush on a vacuum cleaner, and perhaps occasionally rejuvenating the finish with a very light coat of Howard Butcher Block (a tasteless and odorless mix of food grade mineral oil & natural waxes).    
2. The wood for this sculpture was cured until it reached a moisture content similar to most homes.  Most inside natural cracks have been filled and others outside have been incorporated into the sculpture's design.  Occasionally, over time, more may form because additional drying can occur since residential and office humidity levels vary considerably. 
3. Your art piece should NOT be displayed in direct sunlight (no wood likes direct sun) because strong light will fade its rich colors.  
4. Display this treasure where it will be protected from chemicals and moisture.
