This tabletop or floor Ponderosa pine conjoined root sculpture is 21'' tall, 21'' wide, 13" deep, and weighs 14.5 pounds. I have arbitrarily called one side the “front,” but is fascinating from all sides.
… NOTE the SPECIAL SHIPPING INFORMATION below! And PRIOR to PURCHASE with the Local pick-up OPTION, you could save $198 (see below).
… The beautiful, strongly grained, golden brown Ponderosa pine salvaged wood roots came from a tree 36” diameter and 60’ tall, approximately 200 years old. It blew down in storm years ago, then slowly cured and dried in the dry eastern Oregon high desert where I discovered it. Years of weathering in the wind, rain, snow, and sun gave the wood a rough gray black exterior that resembles bark, but the bark itself fell off years ago. Some of that rustic exterior has been preserved to add character to the art.
… This large awe-inspiring “Twisted conifer root sculpture 1” with its twists and turns from branched arms is so unique it is almost impossible to describe. I wish you could hold it and feel it up close so you could really absorb its wonder (if you live near my shop, you can).
… Twisted, intertwined and beautiful, these stunning conjoined roots evolved into a fine art, handmade, handcrafted sculpture to treasure. It will become your heirloom worth passing down to loved ones you treasure.
… Some fragile greenish lichens growing on the roots have been coated with a special clear preservative and will last a long time, barring being touched or bumped. When shipped, this item is boxed in a way that protects the lichens.
… A smooth and glossy shellac like finish protects this sculpture, so it will enhance your home or office for many years.
… Whether you prefer the spelling “one of a kind” or one-of-a-kind, it does not matter, because this fine art piece is truly unique. It will always generate warm smiles, oohs, ahs, and appreciative comments.
Care of your Valuable Art piece:
1. The beauty of your art piece will best be maintained by periodically gently removing dust, and occasionally buffing it with a very light furniture polish.
2. As for all wood art, it should NOT be displayed in direct sunlight (no wood likes direct sun) because strong light will fade its rich colors, of course some wood colors inevitably change over time.
3. Display this treasure where it will be protected from chemicals and moisture.
4. If you have specific questions, feel free to email me: rcpaulson@msn.com
