Sculpture 25 long x 14 wide x 11'' deep, 4.5 lbs.  Lichens are natural but fragile and not guaranteed.  However, if treated carefully they should last a very long time.  They were not added, but rather are in their natural locations. 
… The recycled long-dead old growth tree this rustic wood art came from fell many years ago in Eastern Oregon and was naturally preserved for perhaps 100 years by the dry high desert weather. 
… A smooth oil based varnish like finish protects the wood from anything but liquids or high heat.

BEFORE BUYING, people in Portland, OR, area who wish to pick up their art in person must contact me via email (or 503-307-8292) BEFORE PURCHASE so I can reduce the shipping size/weight to 1 lb. & reserve the item for them.  Buyer would pay as if 1 lb. & I would reimburse.  Since shipping costs have skyrocketed, unfortunately, much of the cost of this item is in it's shipping.  If picked up, I will reduce the base cost slightly since I would not have to build a special shipping container.

The wood for this sculpture was cured until it reached a moisture content like that in most homes.  In some pieces, natural cracks have been filled and others have been retained to enhance the sculpture's design.  Occasionally, over time, cracks may change since indoor humidity levels vary considerably (e.g., residence, office, area of the country).  
3. Your art piece should NOT be displayed in direct sunlight (no wood likes direct sun) because strong light will fade its rich colors.  
4. Display this treasure where it will be protected from chemicals and moisture.
