Unique prickly burl bowl sculpture, golden tan and brown with beautiful rich grain from attractive reclaimed wood, roughly 12.5" tall, 12" wide, 10" deep (front to back).  
… I have arbitrarily called one side the “front,” but it is equally fascinating from all sides.  The beautiful salvaged Siberian black elm wood came from a 30” diameter and 60’ tall tree, approximately 80 years old that fell in a severe winter ice storm in Oregon City, Oregon.  I was lucky to be given 17 amazing pieces for carving.  
… As for all my major sculptures, this piece comes with a personalized and printed "Record of Ownership" that explains the sculpture’s creation and history.  
… This exquisite one-of-a-kind bowl is 12.5" tall, 11.7" wide, 9.8" deep (front to back), and weighs 5 lbs. 14 oz.  The inside opening is irregular size but is roughly:  8" x 5.5" x 6" deep.  Much of its natural and enticing spiny exterior has been preserved to add character to the art.  The piece’s dramatic burls contributed to the fascinating grain patterns and colors seen on the inside.  The small splits and cracks were strengthened and sealed with clear epoxy.

Care of your Valuable Art piece:  
1.  The beauty of your art piece will best be maintained by periodically gently removing dust, and occasionally buffing it with a very light furniture polish.
