… The old growth Ponderosa pine tree – about 250 years old, 36” diameter and 150’ tall – that provided the beautiful strongly grained roots for this sculpture fell and died many years before I found it, then cured nicely on the sunny dry Oregon mountainside. Years of weathering in the wind, rain, snow, and sun stripped the bark, but the high sap content helped preserve the wood.
… A smooth satin finish protects this indoor sculpture so it will last and last.
Care of your Valuable Art piece:
1. The beauty of your art piece will best be maintained by periodically gently removing dust, and occasionally buffing it with a very light furniture polish.
2. As for all wood art, it should NOT be displayed in direct sunlight (no wood likes direct sun) because strong light will fade its rich colors, of course some wood colors inevitably change some over time.
